Fund Manager – Multi-Strategy

Anurag has close to 15 years of experience in developing and managing quantitative equity strategies across long-only and absolute-return mandates.

Before joining Bajaj Alternate Investment Management Limited, Anurag was the fund manager of a quantitative long-only Category III Alternative Investment Fund at Investec India Fund Management. Prior to the launch of the fund, he managed Investec’s proprietary equity investments.

Earlier, Anurag served as a Quantitative Strategist at Kotak Institutional Equities, where he spent more than four years developing long-only quantitative strategies for domestic mutual funds and long-short strategies for international hedge funds.

His previous experience also includes roles at J.P. Morgan, where he developed and refined alpha-generation and portfolio-optimisation models for emerging markets, and at MSCI, where he helped develop factor indices underlying exchange-traded funds and separately managed accounts with more than US$20 billion in assets under management.

Anurag’s investment approach combines rigorous quantitative research, disciplined portfolio construction and a strong emphasis on risk management, with the objective of generating consistent, risk-adjusted returns over the long term.

Anurag holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.
